My husband and I live in Metro Atlanta,  We have been married 30 years.  We are empty nesters, we have 3 grandchildren.

We enjoy ministering, traveling and our grandchildren.

It is so hard to believe its been 30 years, since we marched across the stage at the Civic Center.

November 10, 1960 Athens GA Streets & Drainage Superintendent Married 3

I have been married to the love of my life for 22 years and have 3 children ages 19, 17 and 15. I live in Athens Georgia and have since I left the mines in 1985. I was looking through the photos some of you have posted and wow we sure have changed. I guess 30 years will do that to a person. Some of you may still remember me as Shadetree, but no one here knows me by that name.

Like many of you I have had an adventure of a life so far.  My wife and I have been together for 24 years now and are blessed with two dear girls from our travels in China.  I've included a fiercely special photo of us taken on our "Gotcha Day" for our youngest this past January In Changsha, China.  My wife Jenny and I were challenged beyond measure as little Scarlett was deemed to have a terminal heart+lung condition.  We brought her home pronto and thanks to Western medicine and divine intervention she will now have a life to live.

Our other angel is Bella.  She's going on five years-old now and is a whopping 25 pounds.  Those of you who remember me can envision the contrast in size.  We are quite a sight to behold.  I outweigh her by a factor of 10 and have shrunk only a bit from my 6'7" (old age you know).

Life has turned out to be even greater than I had a right to expect it to be.

Share good memories at this 30th.  Take full advantage of the humility that age can bring.  The years have a way of stripping aside the pretense of awkward youth.  And for goodness sake don't talk too much "Business" and "achievements".  Talk about the things that really matter; friends and family.

I made the 10th, but cannot do this one.  I'll live vicariuosly through the stories you tell me about it all.

Warmest regards,

Nelson
